Industrial Engineering

With the rapid development of science and technology and the ever-increasing complexity of it, production and service systems have also expanded. As a result of this progress, the proper administration of such units systematically requires the use of advanced techniques.

The scale of production and its services are so widespread that traditional engineering disciplines like construction, mechanics, etc. do not address all the issues of these organizations. In order to compensate for such a shortage, a new field called "Industrial Engineering" has been created in the present era, and especially over the past few decades, from the link between various fields of management science and engineering and engineering.

The field of engineering is concerned with issues such as: control and coordination of activities, production planning, quality control, effective use of machinery, equipment and facilities, inventory control and warehousing, and increasing the efficiency of various organizations. Therefore, industrial engineering can help with the design, creation or improvement of human-made systems, materials, equipment, and machinery.

About Industrial Engineering

Industrial engineering involves the application of methods for analyzing the physical principles for the conversion of raw materials and other resources into a form that satisfies human needs. With the advancement of science and technology and the interaction of these two together, different specializations and different engineering trends have been created. In this regard, the industrial engineering is a relatively new field, which, while enjoying the general concept of engineering, focuses on more fields of working compared to other disciplines.

What is engineering?

Industrial engineering is the application of principles and techniques for improving, designing and installing systems, including humans, materials, information, energy and equipment, to enable the production of goods and provide services efficiently and desirable.

To evaluate, and apply these systems, knowledge and skills in mathematical sciences, physical sciences and social sciences, along with engineering techniques are required. Industrial engineering activities are similar to those that create the relationship between management objectives and operational performance of the organization.

Industrial engineers are more involved in increasing productivity in HRM, methods, and technology, while other engineering disciplines are more involved with the nature of the processes and products. In fact, engineering is the only engineering discipline that human factor is one of the main components of the studied systems. As a result, industrial engineers are employed in intermediate teams for planning, installing and controlling and improving the activities of institutions.

These activities may include production activities, product innovation, service delivery, transportation, and organizational information flow. Regarding to the abovementioned sentence, the engineers of the industry have created the necessary framework for the interaction of various specializations and teamwork, and as a result, the design, planning, implementation and monitoring of the performance of the production systems of services are done in a more coherent way and, ultimately, the coherence of affairs Continuous improvement for ease of work, employee comfort, cost reduction, quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
